# Follow Up Boss

> Create an API key in Follow Up Boss and use it to connect your account.

## Let's connect your account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your API settings">
    Sign in to the Follow Up Boss account you want to connect, then use this shortcut:

    Can't use the shortcut? In Follow Up Boss, go to **Admin → Integrations → API Keys & Lead Email**.

  <Step title="Create and copy your key">
    On the API Settings page, select **Create API Key**.

    Enter the name of the product you're connecting, then select **Create API Key** again.

    When your new key appears, select **Copy**. Leave this tab open while you finish the connection.

  <Step title="Paste the key and save">
    Return to the connection window. Paste the key into **API Key**, then select **Save**.

    When the form saves, your Follow Up Boss account is connected.

## Troubleshooting

If the connection does not save, copy the key again and retry. Contact the team that sent you this guide if the problem continues.
